Senior Technical Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced, Senior Technical Project Manager to help us manage our growing portfolio of projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Automation and Robotics business in a fast-paced product design/engineering office based in Bromley, London.

The Senior TPM will join a Global team (reporting into UK based management team) and will have the opportunity to work alongside the product design engineers and cross functional teams helping to deliver multiple NPI projects on budget to challenging timelines.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Work as a part of the senior management team
  • Support the cross functional teams with project tasks including:
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with the internal and externals project teams helping and technical support
  • Ensure all key project milestones are met on time
  • Updating and managing the high-level plan
  • Being the key interaction point to customer
  • Be able to perform design/technical reviews and produce technical reports
  • Assist on design changes/proposals
  • Attend cross functional meetings
  • Drive internal team and customer teams meetings and drive project to mass production
  • Track technical issues and risk mitigation
  • Create and track ramp up production analysis and reports including yield, capacity and cost
  • Responsible for all product certification internally and externally
  • Budget creation and management of payment schedules
  • Manage your own Scrum board to run in sprints
  • Ramp up and materials planning
  • Long lead items management
  • Customers sign off procedures
  • Product testing and approvals plan
  • Risk buy management
  • Define roles and responsibilities of internal and external strakeholders 

Your Experience:

  • The successful candidate will be keen to learn, take on new information and apply this independently.
  • You will need to show good listening skills and willing to build on achieving collaborative working relationships.
  • You understand complex technical challenges and successfully rely on information to non-technical team members.
  • You have an agile mindset using Scrum framework or other agile product delivery frameworks
  • You have Project management training and certification taken to develop skills
  • You are experienced working with Chinese contract manufacturers/suppliers
  •  You understand and have worked/travelled in China to deliver products to mass production

Skills you must have:

  • Preferably Engineering background and migration to project management within consumer electronics/medical sectors.
  • Has proven experience taking products from concept to mass production
  • Exposure to EVT/DVT/PVT product development process
  • Hands on approach
  • Presentation/Communication skills
  • MS Office, MS Project
  • Time management
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent English writing skills.

 

Bonus Skills:

  • Hands-on  knowledge of Solid Works is a plus
  • JIRA/Scrum training experience.
  • Speaking Mandarin, a big bonus
