Intretech Expands Global Footprint with New Manufacturing Facility in Mexico
At Intretech, 2024 marks a pivotal year in our global expansion journey. On September 13, 2024, we proudly celebrated a major milestone with the opening of our new manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico. This move signifies not only our commitment to advancing smart manufacturing solutions but also our dedication to contributing to the economic and industrial growth of the North American region. With this facility, we aim to enhance our operations and extend our global footprint.
A Strategic Global Expansion
The new Monterrey facility, located in the Mirador Industrial Park, represents an investment of $60 million USD and is set to create 2,000 jobs over the next five years. This expansion marks an important step in our strategy to bring innovative manufacturing solutions closer to our clients, especially within the North American market.
“Mexico was part of our global strategy since the beginning of Intretech. We started our global expansion first with Malaysia, second is Hungary, and the third is here. Mexico is a huge opportunity and will support Intretech with world-wide growth.”
Monterrey’s strategic location, proximity to key markets, and robust industrial infrastructure make it an ideal hub for our expansion. The facility, once fully operational, will play a crucial role in our mission to meet the growing demands of our clients, not only in North America but across the globe.
Celebrating the Grand Opening
The grand opening event in Monterrey was a remarkable occasion, attended by Intretech’s leadership and local dignitaries. The event showcased the collaboration between Intretech and the local government, which recognizes the economic boost this facility will bring to the region.
“Intretech is a world-class company that comes to contribute to increasing the economic complexity of our city. Welcome Intretech to the industrial capital of Nuevo León. Your presence brings progress, it brings opportunities for the families of this sector of our city in the border with the municipality of Zuazua, Nuevo León.”
Jobs and Economic Growth
At the heart of this expansion is the promise of new jobs. The Monterrey facility will create 2,000 jobs over the next five years, contributing significantly to the local economy. These roles will span various functions, including manufacturing, assembly, management, and research and development. By creating high-quality jobs in Monterrey, we aim to support the local community and strengthen Mexico’s standing as a key player in the global manufacturing landscape.
During the event, Esther Medina, Project Director for Mexico at Intretech, highlighted Monterrey’s thriving environment:
“Mexico right now is the best spot to be for companies. We are interacting with different cultures already in the Monterrey area, investing in residential areas, universities, and other job hubs to improve our quality and our resources. I really feel very excited about this location.”
